This is A+J before we moved to our new house in March. As much as they fight, they love each other very much! (Just don't tell anyone)
Justin Learns to ride a bike!
A month or so before the fire Justin learned how to ride a bike. As you can see from his face, he got to know the pavement real well! He only has a tiny little scar on his cheek now. (Boys love that!)
House Fire Pictures
This is the other end of the house. The neighbor called the fire department when she saw the flames shoot out this end of the house.
The fire melted the siding off of the dormer windows, we are not replacing those. It burned through the entire attic and out the other end before it was discovered.
Here is our house a day after the fire. The fire restarted the next morning so the firefighters were back out to put it out again. This part of the house was our master bedroom. The tree behind the room is the one lighting struck.
Katie's Work
This summer, the maintenance staff was very busy and I wanted to change the color scheme of the property, so, I painted the signs myself! (They used to be royal blue and rust color).
This is my townhome complex I manage. (these are publicity pictures I had taken, the sky in south carolina is not really that blue :)
Hangin' with my boys
I feel like a mother duck at the mall. The boys walk right behind me in a row as I am walking. I keep having to look back over my shoulder to watch for them! (Austin is wearing his camp shirt he made this summer, all of his friends signed each others shirts the last day. He is very proud of this shirt)
Austin and Justin went to the mall with me this weekend. They like to shop now, I used to have to leave them at home with Mr. Rusty because they were "allergic" to the mall. Now they like clothes, video games and all of the activity at the mall.
Austin and Justin had a friend over this past weekend. Chris gets along with both boys but they tend to fight over him! It is funny to see how social they are becoming. They love doing things with their friends.

Our house before the fire
I had just finished repainting and putting border up in the foyer a week before the fire!
This is Austin and Justin's room pre-fire. They had their cool bunkbeds and a homework/computer desk with all of their fun learning programs.
It is hard to see, but this was my "pecky cypress" wood living room. We are going back with drywall in this room to save some$ to remodel in other areas.
Rebuilding has begun!
This used to be our master bedroom. It had the most fire damage inside the house. The rest of the house was destroyed mainly by water to put the fire out.
The house is in the process of being rebuilt this week. They have torn out most of the drywall in the house, all of the ceilings and are replacing the entire roof.
